Secondary Glazing Systems
Adding insulation to existing windows is easily achieved by adding a secondary pane which traps air between it and the outer window. The Easyfix edging systems we supply will seal the inner panel, so if the outer window is draught free, the still air in the void gives maximum benefit for both heat and noise insulation, while if the outer window leaks air there will still be a benefit and you can use our draught excluders on the window to improve them.
The video here introduces each system so you can match your requirements to the different styles of the DIY Secondary Glazing kits on offer.

Easyfix Magnetic Secondary Glazing
The Magnetglaze products use steel and magnetic tape to connect glazing panels to the window surround. These are supplied self adhesive, and either plain or with smart rigid capping (Magnetglaze Pro) or Finishing Trim for pleasing cosmetic results.
Panels can be jointed using Magnetglaze Sash kits, providing easy access and convenience whilst maintaining insulation.
-
Easyfix Sliding Secondary Glazing
Trackglaze sliding systems combine excellent insulation with the ease of sliding access in a DIY package.
Choose between Horizontal & Vertical systems, providing flexibility for all window types. Kits supplied complete with all components required for noise and insulation improvements; Horizontal can be fitted with either Glass or Plastic sheet, whilst the Vertical system is suitable for Plastic sheet only.

Easyfix Screw Down Secondary Glazing
Screw down systems are secure but removable when required. Clipglaze uses flexible edging and turnbutton clips, allowing quick removal of the pane, in a choice of 3 colours and 5 pane lengths. Superglaze caps the pane with a PVC strip that is than screwed into place, making an attractive framed panel. They are suitable for external use.

Easyfix Stick Down Secondary Glazing
Self adhesive insulation is easy to install and very cost effective. For a rigid frame use Easyglaze, a 2 part system for 2mm plastic sheet. The base is stuck to the window surround, the sheet put into position and the top clipped into the base.
Filmglaze uses special film, stuck down then heat shrunk. This is the least expensive insulation for temporary or budget installation only.

Solid Plastic Glazing Sheet
Plastic sheet is commonly used for secondary glazing, sneeze screens and general purposes, being safer, strong and light.
